BELARUS-HUNGARY BUSINESS FORUM

The Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted the Belarus-Hungary business forum. The event was organized in cooperation with the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the framework of the 9th session of Belarus-Hungary Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation.

The business forum was attended by Deputy Chairman of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Sergei Nabeshko, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Csaba Balogh, Vice President of the International Committee at the Hungarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Laszlo Bodi, the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, over 50 Belarusian and Hungarian enterprises and organizations.

The forum focused on the prospects for Belarus-Hungary trade and economic interaction development, advantages of using e-commerce platforms in mutual trade between the two countries, investment opportunities of Hungary, and legal regulation for business.

The business forum participants noted both sides’ interest in deepening of cooperation ties, expanding joint ventures and setting up new companies. They named agriculture, mechanical engineering, pharmaceutics and light industry as priority sectors for cooperation, as well as IT, consulting, woodworking, chemical industry and petroleum chemistry.

The plenary part of the forum was followed by B2B negotiations of businessmen.
